Early Life
Nick Swardson is from the Minneapolis-Saint Paul area. He was born to his parents, Pamela and Roger Eric Swardson. He’s the youngest of three siblings, with a sister named Rachel and a brother named John. His dad, Roger Swardson, was a writer and editor for places like the Cincinnati Enquirer and City Pages. He also started a newspaper called the Grand Gazette in Saint Paul. He did some work in land development in Saint Paul, especially in the area known as Victoria Crossing. Career
Swardson began doing stand-up comedy when he was 18 years old. He would go to a comedy club in Minneapolis called Acme Comedy Co. and perform at their open mic nights. At first, he did it just for fun, but the club owner encouraged him to keep going. He even won an award there for being the funniest person in the Twin Cities.
After a while, he got the chance to perform at a big comedy festival called the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival when he was 20. This festival was a big deal in the comedy world, and it was held in Aspen, Colorado. It was a place where comedians could get noticed by people in the entertainment industry.
